High School for Recording Arts is helping people from across the nation celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the birth of charter schools at the National Charter School Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The concept of charter schools started in Minnesota in 1991 and now has spread across the nation with thousands of charter schools serving students in unique and diverse ways.

HSRA students will kick off a street dance at Albuquerque’s Civic Center Plaza on Thursday, April 26th, with an introduction by Joe Nathan, one of the pioneers in charter legislation and the Director for the Center for School Change at the University of Minnesota.
