High School for Recording Arts Honors Two New Graduates

Thursday, December 18, 2008 friends, family, and classmates celebrated the graduation of Sharif Walker and Kiara Carothers. Both students worked very hard to complete the graduation requirements which included creation of a digital portfolio. The portfolio must include an employment resume with the State of Minnesota and an acceptance letter from a college or other post-secondary institution of higher learning. Both students plan on a college education and creating a business. Congratulations Kiara and Sharif!

Youth Summit a Big Success • New Summits planned for 2009

Teens from St. Paul’s High School for Recording Arts hosted a Student Summit on teen driver safety this Friday at the University of Minnesota. Youth from six different schools met learn more about driver safety, seat bely law and community organizing and lobbying. Students helped lead workshops on Power Mapping, The Legislative Process and Team Building-One on One sessions . For more on student perspectives click here.
