Staff and students are gearing up for a brand new school year. As HSRA celebrates its 10th Anniversary, we commemorate this new academic year with the Fo Show on B96, Click4Life and State Farm Insurance, and Sweat Equity Enterprises with Ecko Unlimited and LubeTech Technologies. This promises to be a great year for HSRA students and their families. HSRA staff trains for the 2008-2009 academic year… we’re going for the gold!

High School for Recording Arts was proud to attend and present a workshop at the National Charter School Conference in New Orleans. But you know what they say, “When in New Orleans, do as the New Orleanese do.” We got the chance to hit a couple of jazz clubs, visit Musicians Village in the Lower 9th Ward to see the Katrina reconstruction, and sit in with some incredible musicians. Did we mention the cuisine? Jumbalaya, gumbo, oysters, crawdads, beignets, Po Boy sandwiches…mmmmm. HSRA Students made a tremendous showing at the first annual EdVisions Project Fair held at Hamline University this spring. Featured in the photos below are The Fo-Show Math, Positive Hip Hop (A Youth Venture Project), and 4D (The Fourth Dimension). Also presenting at the Fair were the Urban Music Project (Introspection) and Teen Pregnancy - A Statistical Overview. Congratulations to the students and staff who represented HSRA so well at this special event.
